Microsoft was having trouble increasing sales numbers from its’ Certified re-sellers for their Hosted Software. They recognized that their web-site wasn’t user friendly – visitors were having difficulty getting the information they needed and/or understanding the buying process. Ultimately, potential buyers didn’t know where they could buy the software. To complicate the situation, they required help executing lead generation campaigns. With low sales numbers, confused buyers and re-sellers not knowing what to do, Microsoft needed a solution fast.

Microsoft asked us to create a user friendly site that would easily guide customers through the hosted software buying process, but at the same time, make them feel informed and ready to purchase. The re-sellers had to be front-and-centre so there would be no confusion, and the website also had to allow them to each individually contribute to the success of their own campaigns and increase sales.
Enter Microsoft IT Zen. We developed the Hosted Zen site with the main goal of demonstrating how “Zen-like” having your software hosted by a Microsoft re-seller can be. The homepage of the site is very clean and simple and lets the user first select their role: Sales, IT or CEO. Each subsequent page of the site is customized with information for how each product will benefit and apply to the role the user selected.
The special platform we used to build the site allowed us to make five mirrored versions of the site – one for each re-seller. All pages are customized with the individual partners’ logo, contact information and forms.
In addition to creating the multi-level site we also created banners and emails (stored on the platform) for the partners to use at any time for their own marketing initiatives. Each partner has their own automation portal to log-in to and get site reports, manage contacts, and monitor and deploy their own campaigns. Now equipped with their own product site and marketing materials, partners can now be involved and responsible for increasing sales numbers.

Partners are more self-sufficient in their ability to increase sales.
